Really great because you can choose Celsius or Fahrenheit by removing the jumper/shunt on the back of the unit (remove for Fahrenheit scale) Runs from a wide range of DC voltage, I used a USB charger with a USB cable to power a few of these - worked great. The blue backlight makes a visually pleasing display that is readable from across a small room. Accuracy; withing .2 deg F on most units (I purchased several)some within .1 deg (using KJ thermocouple as a standard) I used these for freezers/refrigeration units as basic monitors so personnel could get "at a glance" readings. Wide viewing angle makes for easy reading. Recommended highly for basic reference readings. Very well made housing. Easy to install.

The display started loosing digits after a few hours of use. You get what you pay for.

The sensor is a thermistor of about 10K at room temperature. I extended the wire with ordinary audio cable with no loss of accuracy. The input power is very nominal and can be 4 to 20 volts or so. The max temperature is about 280 degrees fahrenheit. I did not test the low end. I think this device should last a long time . There is no heat issue with the display. The thermistor becomes lower in resistance as it gets warmer.

It's great just got it will update but how do you change to Fahrenheit came with no instructions also bad viewing angle on some sides but that's to be expected with a cheap screen. But how to switch to Fahrenheit?
