The fact is that I never saw the TV show when I was young, just this movie. And the climatic final battle is still one of my favorite moments from this movie. Highly recommend on getting the blu-ray over the DVD.

This is a tough one to review... Is there anyone who would consider buying this who doesn't know what it is? If anyone out there was introduced to Batman by Chris Nolan and wants to explore other Batman on film, then this is not for you... If you're wondering whether the blu ray is worth the upgrade from your current sd version.... Then the answer is....that depends... The transfer to blu ray is incredible! And I've often been underwhelmed by transfer to blu ray of films not filmed on digital... But this is really really crisp....the problem is that it really exposes the flaws... Caesar Romero's moustache is that much more visible (could he really not have shaved?)...and the purplecowl/blue cape contrast is that much more obvious than on the SD or VHS versions... But if you accept that as part of the campy fun...then it only enhances the 'so bad it's good enjoyment'... I bought this blu ray to introduce my 3 yr old to Batman...this and the old superfriends are all we've got...she loves it!....I have loved it since before I knew it was camp... Now that I appreciate it on adifferent level...I love it even more...watching this movie...I had a smile on my face from opening credits until fade to black... My wife however, has zero appreciation.... No accounting for some tastes...Read full review
Fun film. Lots better than the tv series. Good performances by all. Cesar Romero as The Joker and Lee Meriwether as The Catwoman are a highlight. Highly recommended.

A wise man once said "The 60s Batman movie is the greatest ever." I should know, because I was that wise man. OK, it might not be the greatest movie, but it is one of the awesomest movies ever. Only in 'Batman' could intelligent writers come up with some of the most illogical situations and cheesiest dialog committed to screen. A Yacht disappears in Gotham Harbour ("How can a yacht simply disappear... unless, it was never really there!"). On board was a 'superdehydrator', a machine that can extract the moisture from any living being, and in of the most logical displays of logic ever, Batman and friends logically come to the (correct) conclusion that the culprits are the combined forces of Penguin, Joker, the Riddler and Catwoman, apparently intent on world domination. 'Batman is scene-after-scene of pure brilliance - great situations, and the greatest dialog ever. 'Batman' is very funny, but only if you appreciate and enjoy the style, otherwise you will hate it. But only those who lack a sense of awesomeness would not like it, and who is really so un-awesome, that they can't even find the captioned fights just that little bit amusing? 8/10 - Awesome, simply awesomeRead full review
Ooey gooey cheesy goodness at its best. No matter how many more Batman movies they make, no matter how many other actors portray Batman. Adam West is Batman.
