This is my third copy of this book. It's full of great illustrations, fun factoids, and great information on a wide variety of science related subjects. Every child I introduce to it can find something right away to sit down and read. It often leads to experiments which is of course a fantastic byproduct of learning something new or seeing it in a different way. Every now and then you find someone who just lights up while reading it and I end up giving it away and need to order another. Can't recommend it enough. It usually falls somewhere between Fun and Fascinating. Enjoy.

As enjoyable to read as it is informative. An excellent way to find out about the inner workings of the world without becoming catatonic from technical description. I highly recommend it as a primer for the serious technician as well as the casual repairman. I have gotten one of these for each of my kids to introduce them to the mysteries of the mechanical and electric world around them and they have each used it to help solve a problem. A great book experience.
