These 12AX7 tubes are more hot and aggressive sounding than the GT and JJ brand tubes I tried before. Their strong early breakup is perfect in my slightly modified Champion 600 and now I want to try them in my tweed deluxe.

I bought these tubes to replace the JJ's that were in the amp when I purchased it used. These Mullards really woke the Tubemeister 18 he'd up and I mean woke up!. The tubes allow for a clean sparkling tone to dirty overdrive. I have an EVH LBX that is great for the high gain stuff and this amp with these tubes take the lead boost channel to the middle of the channel one on the EVH LBX, so long story, this amp with these tubes give you a tone of range. Highly recommend these tubes for this amp

Bought this for mastering. Flat frequency response yet still sounds warm. In youtube videos, it seems to excel for midrange guitar tone, so I was surprised the EQ curve was reliably flat in a mastering chain through a mic pre. I'm actually torn at the moment between this and a short smooth Telefunken (that tends to add a hint silky high end compared to the Mullard). Regardless, I highly recommend the Mullard I63 for any job.
