Zoom has been making pedals for a long while, and have proven they have the power to build an excellent pedal! Much like the G9.2tt, which I've used to record an entire album, with better than expected results, this G7.1ut pedal has a lot of the same features, with 1 tube, it's a must have for the serious musician who's struggling out there! The pedal's shell is very rugged and the side bumpers make this very road worthy. The user interface and operation of it is very easy to figure out even for those who aren't tech savvy, although, there are 100's of settings, setting up this pedal to suit your needs is relatively simple. It's very quiet, providing you don't use cheap cords. I've found that cheap cords cause an interference/hum/feedback I don't like, but with a good make of cord, this thing is very quiet until you make it sing! I, honestly, can't think of anything on it that I don't like, besides some of the factory preset sounds, but really that's no reason to bash a great pedal! Thank you for reading my review. Keep music alive, keep jamming!!!Read full review

I have tried many, many FX boxes in my years and so far this is my favorite. I had several digitech models (last one RP355) and several Line 6 (pod, XT Live, X3 Live) some others and dozens and dozens of stomp boxes. First and foremost, the G7 is intuitive to use and edit. I know it looks daunting at first but once I got started it was pretty natural. One thing that bothers me is that in order to edit settings via the G7 software editor, you must use a MIDI interface. It's just odd that they didn't incorporate that in the usb output, which is used for direct usb recording. This is not a problem for me (other than extra wiring). However, there's lots of folks out there w/o a MIDI interface. Another thing a prospective buyer should know: it doesn't come with a ton of presets. This equals out for me. It doesn't have lots of useless science-fiction sounds, plus the ease of editing and saving presets really helps me get the sounds I want. More presets are available online. The tube preamp adds some warmth and presence...although this might be psychological. Another cool feature is the "Stomp box" mode that allow you to use the G7 like a single stompbox so that in one setting you can use your basic sound and switch on/off reverb, delay, distortion, etc. I'm giving this a very solid "good" rating. I would have given a "average" rating to most of the other pedals. Did I mention it sound great?!!Read full review
This is an excellent multi effect board. The stereo sound is magnificent with supper clear studio quality. The built in presets are great but what makes it even better is you can tweak and save the changes and name your settings just like professional custom boards costing thousands of dollars. I can call up my settings by name. Built in are all the classic pedals you'd ever need or want... just to name a few... there are BigMuff, Metal Zone, Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Fuzz, Step effects, Tape Echo, Delay, reverse delay, and Wah. The chorus and flanger are rich sounding. The Wah is programable to be either a volume pedal a Vox Wah or CryBaby. You can set the Wah in front of the effects or in back and that make a difference in sound. How cool is that! There are two controls for the 12AX7 tube to smooth out or boost the sound. The tube is a great and really does work well. This Zoom multi effect board is an outstanding choice. For the price of two pedals... ummm who needs pedals. I hate pedals and hate patch cables and really hate pedals that are not true bypass. Its a miracle now I don't need to worry about all that anymore. My Zoom 7.1ut is loaded and has stereo sound and USB and MIDI compatible. Thanks for reading my review. AndyRead full review

Well, I used to have Zoom g2 that I loved, great effects, etc... it was my first multi-effect pedal, but unfortunately, it's broke.. So, without a pedal, I decided to buy a new one, a more practical one... I firstly tried the Boss ME series, because people said " ohh, buy one boss! they are anolog pedal, and blah blah blah..." so I tried and know what? It`s a good one, but I don`t really liked, so I started searching for other zoom pedals, looked on youtube, everything to find a good pedal, and a came to this magnificent one! And I have one word for this: AWESOME! Like my old g2, the g7 is really good for recording, it has a god processor, or something like that (lol), and of curse, it has much more features than g2... I mean, it`s very handy, you can swap effects in a really fast way! I became impressed! : Hmm, what else? Oh yes, the FX qualities are awesome too, the best I have heard! There are like, lots of distortions, modulations, clean sounds, delays, etc Ohh, and there`s one thing i liked too: There`s a preset of Brian May!! With delays, and stuff, I f**** Loved!! Awesome!! Now, talking of a bad point, the g7 doesn`t have drums patterns, neither loop recorder, it`s the only thing I really missed...Read full review
