This book is another great installment of "A Series of Unfortunate Events." Once again the children have a kind guardian in a bizarre village filled with crows and crow decor, but he is afraid to stand up to the elders of the village and their ridiculous rules. So, once again, the Baudelaire orphans are left to fend for themselves, in a manner of speaking. There are clever clues sprinkled into the story that may help the Baudelaires locate their friends, the Quagmires. As always, challenging words and phrases are explained to the reader, which makes this series a fantastic read for children. I highly recommend this series!
I actually bought this as a present for my little sister since having read the book at her age and loved it. The book was clean and actually arrived rather quickly! It was a good purchase

They put ugly stickers on the spines of their books, and the stickers are such poor quality that when you take them off they tear the spine off. Asked to be compensated for return shipping and they refused because apparently they’re allowed to intentionally damage books.

My kids are all over this series. I started off reading the first few books to them, and they got impatient and took over for themselves That equals a good book to me!
