These are my favorite traps. They are easy to use and I have a high catch rate with them. I have been using them for over a year now on a large property where we are growing fruit and other trees and shrubs of various ages. Moles love the roots! And they are very prolific! The Victor traps are consistently good.

Looks like it's made from a quality wires, but the problem was that the killing wire prongs would "relocate" outside of designated spot. The spot is secured by pinching of the thick wire rail so the loop around this spot should stay secure in one place. It does not. It's a great killing machine, but it needs a little of refinement to work better. The price is good.

It is generally better to catch gophers with the Victor trap when they are new. After you catch a few gophers they appear to retain the gopher's odor and are less effective; although, I read that you could get the smell off by washing them with a special soap. That worked marginally in my opinion. Another problem was that the gophers tend to damage the trap after a while and it is no longer usable because the actuation plate sits all of the way down on the bar making it impossible to actuate the trap.

The gopher traps work. In two days I caught four of them. I hate to do them in, but they have been destroying my Spring garden. Anyway, if you have a gopher problem, these really do work. There are instructional videos on boobtube. The traps have to be well inside the tunnel to work. And, the shipping was speedy, which helped me out.

In my opinion this is the only gopher trap and it works. Nothing else I have ever tried did as good or gave me success. Easy to use and not at all messy.
