I've went through about 3 different slide stops on my polymer 80 with almost nothing but problems before trying this slide stop out, I tried the lone wolf extended slide stop which was junk and sent to me with an out of spec spring so the slide would lock back even with rounds ready to be chambered, tried a tyrant CNC slide stop that would chip into my mags taking material off of them and yet again locking the slide stop back prematurely (looked nice and had good engagement though), OEM glock slide stop that never failed but was hard to engage, and then finally this. wow. the reliability and build quality of the OEM slide stop but with a wonderful ledge that makes it insanely easy to both lock my slide and of course release it, the spring feels significantly sturdier than an OEM slide stop which is a major positive. Fits in every holster I've tried so far and the finish and machining of the stop are fantastic. My journey to find the perfect slide stop ended with this Vickers Tactical stop and once you try it I'm positive yours will too.Read full review

I’m not one to upgrade OEM to “extended” anything. I probably would not have even tried the Vickers upgrades, but I had a G34 frame parts kit that came with Glock OEM Extended mag and slide release. The slide release reached to far back and occasionally would get bumped. The mag release was sharp. They work for many people, but not for my high grip. I did wish to retain a “higher than OEM” mag release, just not so sharp. I did some reading and many people swore by Vickers which comes in somewhere between OEM and OEM Extended. Also needing to replace the slide release, I was willing to try this combo. The mag release is perfect. Slightly more height, but no gouging the support hand. The surprise was the slide release. Unlike the OEM extended, it does come back further, but provides slightly more shelf for your thumb to purchase. I’ve always been “support hand over” slide release kind of guy. One reason is slide releases can run the spectrum from easy to use to “not a chance”. Hand over negates this. This Vickers slide release is exactly what most Glocks need. My wife has no chance if actuating any Glock slide release, but even she could work the Vickers release. It makes one-handed reloads much easier. Great products!! I’m buying more. I wouldn’t recommend changing a Gen 4/5 mag release. Those are nearly perfection. I would change Gen 3 mag releases to Vickers. Gen 3/4 slide releases should certainly be changed to Vickers. Gen 5 is perfection. I had no issues in my T-Tex holster. I don’t anticipate issues with Safariland. Some kydex holsters could need some shaping, but I’ve not had that issue yet.Read full review

I've tried several extended slide releases and they were no better than the stock Glock, which is useless. I was Not impressed when I first saw this as it did not seem to extend far enough out from the gun to be any better, but I installed it anyway and was amazed at the difference. It functions beautifully and extends out far enough to make it easy to drop the slide. I'm very satisfied with this item.

Quality made product hands down! IMO this is probably the best Glock Slide Stop available today! I have them on all my Glocks! I never had a problem hitting it when firing, causing the slide to lock to the rear! To me the OEM slide stop is too close to the slide. The TD Vickers extends just enough and aides those who wear gloves.

Left handed people can use this item to lock the slide to the rear easily by straightening and raising their left index finger against the pronounced edge of the lever. This made my Glock Gen4 much easier to manage. Works with or without gloves just fine.
