Do I recommend the router. Yes, with reservations. Is it a good value? Depends on how much you have to pay. Is it of good quality? Seems to be of solid build. This little router seems to do a pretty good job picking up weak cell signal (2 bars) so no complaints there. My one complaint where I feel this router is lacking is that it's WIFI signal is really only good for ONE ROOM. So, I would not suggest you buy this thinking it is going to work as a WHOLE HOME WIFI router. You will be very disappointed if that is the case. It does support you attaching a good router with solid WIFI signal and doing that works very well. As for value, If you have to pay full retail price for one of these then I wouldn't consider that to be a good value. As for quality. The outer case is sturdy and the display does a good job providing sufficient info. My experience with this that I like it much better than the JETPACK routers although it obviously isn't as compact and portable. If you need something to stuff in a backpack and carry around this isn't a good option. But for static setup this works out well. I liked it well enough that I bought a second to use as a backup in the event my primary might fail. One thing to be aware of is that if these are not set up to easily remove or swap the SD Card for your cell service. The Micro SD Card that with the Chip that holds your CELL/DATA plan is internal and the router has to be taken apart to access the CARD which is something Verizon will not do. The Router has connections for EXTERNAL antennas but I've been told that it really only helps with VOICE and not DATA. I would like to see and antenna that would help with reception of the Data signal. Hope this helps.Read full review

Product maybe is good or rAther WAS good. When it was released 4-5 years ago. Problem is, this device is built with preinstalled sim. So you cant replace it easily. Where biggest problem lies is that verizon retires sim numbers after one year of inactivity. So most of these devices have retired sim. Since they just lay around and not being used. So careful buying one. Contact the seller before you buy and ask for sim so you can verify it with verizon before they ship it to you. And even then one device i verified prior to shipping it to me. And still when i received it- called verizon and the next lady on phone tried to connect it and it was also retired. So i imagine a bunch of sellers have bought these units in bulk. Two that i bought were new. But most of them probably have retired sims so they are pretty much worthless... anyhow good luckRead full review

I assume this item was brand new, there is a very small scratch or nick on it that is probably why it didn't make inspection to be sold brand new. This scratch is hardly noticeable and doesn't effect operation at all. I took to Verizon store and they installed SIM card for me for free, they say you can't replace SIM which is wrong. I was going to do it but the guy at store said he wasn't busy and has been doing a bunch of them. It took him about 5 minutes to remove the 6 screws on the bottom and replace card and put back together, anyone could do this, but you do need a very small Torx driver bit. We use this in lieu of the hard wired internet that is horrible in the country. The device gives me 2 bars of LTE data which is the same as my iphone 6 gets placed next to it. I just got the device running so I may purchase an external antenna to increase signal, but so far it is working great. I highly recommend this device if you trying to cut the cord with rural crappy internet. Item arrived earlier than expected and came in a plan USPS package. Love it switched to unlimited data plan and saved $50.00 a month to boot!! Update my iPhone speed tests at around 6mbps this unit test around 25 mbps lightening fast internetRead full review

Given the lack of true Verizon routers, this is a good choice. The technology is a little dated in that you cannot remote in from a separate location to manage it also the ADMIN controls are very limited. It setup very quickly and the pre loaded SIM card was authorized immediately by Verizon. I had bought the newest Jet pack by Verizon but it had some limiting features not intended to be a fulltime router.

Came in perfect band new condition. It was a little confusing as to how to activate it. I took it to my local Verizon store and they had to can support who still couldn't figure it out. The problem was that the sim card is inside the router not a sim card that can simply be inserted. When you take it to get activated show them the bottom of the unit it has the IME number and the sim card number that is inside the unit. You don't have to take it apart- wish I knew this up front since it took over an hour to set up with a sales associate that didn't know anything. We disabled the Wi Fi and connected an eero mesh network as the router. We have a 6500 square foot warehouse that now has perfect internet.
