If you're looking for just an internet connection, this USB760 modem is perfect. Traveling between 2 homes in MA & RI where I already had computers, there was no need to go through the fuss of installing cable in each one. This modem slips into you're pocket and be installed in any computer. Because It's Verizon, you'll always get a signal. I bought a plan 8 years ago that offered unlimited use for $60.00 a month. That plan (big surprise0 is no linger offered and monthly costs are now charged by MB used. Streaming just 1 movie day may get cost prohibitive. But if you already have this modem and it malfunctions, you can continue on the old plan as long as you can replace the USB760. Lucky for us, there is eBay. My new cost with a new plan and a NOT improved new 4G modem, would have me shelling out an additional $100+/month. Thankfully there are eBay sellers that still have new, unused, still in the box modems. But again, this type of internet connection should only be used if an old plan can be grandfathered in or your expected usage is very low. Verizon will be happy to tell you the MB costs break points over the phone. If it wasn't for this item, I'd still be using dial-up.Read full review

When our previous Novatel Modem died, we were pretty upset. We were still on the unlimited plan with Verizon and did not want to give that up. The customer rep at Verizon told us if we could find the exact same modem, they would still honor our plan. Thankfully, we found one on Ebay! What we like best about it, is that it works! We did have to call Verizon because our computer had some difficulty in "recognizing" it but it works great now. We really like the fact that we can use our laptop or tablet anywhere and not have to rely on public WiFi. Love it!
I needed to upgrade my modem. I always go to ebay to look for anything i need.This type was the top of line for 3g modem.It's easy to use in you pc computer usb port and also you can connect a antenna to the USB760 and you can find that on ebay also. Must other modems don't have a place for a antenna to hook to this one does . I bought two of them on ebay
