This is by far the most versatile cymbal I have ever played. I have played/owned almost every type of zildjian ride cymbal from avedis, to K customs, to A custom medium ride, Z custom medium ride, and various Sabians. This ride provides a smooth melow sound on the outside like a traditional K, with distinct stick definition of an A custom in the middle, and the Bell provides a thick piercing sound like a K custom and Z. In the past, when I would only use two cymbals for small kit gigs I would drop my 20" A custom crash to serve as a crash ride. However, this hybrid provides an amazing crash which also sounds great when riding out on the cymbal. Not only did I gain everything that every drummer wants in a ride, I now have an additional crash cymbal. This cymbal may seem expensive but it is way worth every penny. I highly recommend picking this cymbal up and you will find it is very difficult to want to play anything else.Read full review
It’s the only member of the hybrid series I’ve played. Overall, it does everything “pretty well”, but doesn’t really excel at any one thing. This is not a bad quality. It has a good bell, good wash, crashable but not too crashable. Stick choice is a great way to change this cymbal’s attributes to suit. In my opinion, this is a great replacement for the classic “go to” medium ride. It might not be the only ride you use. But it can be the most frequent. There are better Jazz rides, better Metal rides, etc, but here you do have something that can work in a lot of styles.

I am new to the hybrid class of K cymbals though I have many other Ks. The hybrids really are brighter than my other dark Ks and I do love them.

This is indeed an amazing cymbal. The bell cuts thru, and it's crashable when needed. I'd define this ride as the best ride for all styles of music. Highly recommend

I bought this product, because I needed a cymbal that I could use as a crash and ride with a good washy sound. I like the product, but it could use a little more sound. I found it to be pretty quite, but that just means I get to hit it harder. After I clean this cymbal, I'm sure it's going to look just like the stock picture. But right now it's got some oxidation spots on it. No big deal.
