As a nearly 40-year-old Christian who grew up on this glorious Hanna-Barbera Bible series, I'm compelled to write this review to counter the 2-star review someone else left. Joe Barbera spent 17 years pitching this Bible series before it finally came to fruition, and it IS absolutely a valuable and appropriate teaching tool for kids alongside the Bible. Any dramatization is going to have some "liberty" taken, but there is nothing in this entire series that is grossly misinterpreting the original text (unlike what you WILL find in most churches and Christian schools these days), and the writers have done a very good job maintaining Biblical integrity while adapting the stories for young viewers. I would 1000% advocate for showing this to children, and using it along with the Bible to help teach them. Honestly, the other review left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I'm so disappointed that this person robbed his students of experiencing this masterpiece series. The reviewer doesn't even know what he's talking about, as God is NOT depicted with an "eye that looked like a sun" -- in the episode, when God speaks, He's represented by rays of light coming down from the heavens, which has been a very common depiction of the Lord in art through the centuries. So please, show these wonderful Hanna-Barbera Bible stories to your children and let it help cultivate in them a keen interest in and love of the Bible, we need more of that today, not less. Don't hesitate to buy this!Read full review

I did not like the way that God was depicted with an eye that looked like a sun. Seems a little more liberty was taken on the story than I wanted as I was going to use it as a teaching tool for my kids zone class. I decided not to use it.
