What's not to love about a mystery with an eBay subplot? Will our manly hero John Corey and his sidekick/wife, Kate, save the world from nuclear Armageddon? Will they return Wilma's laptop in time for her to check her eBay auctions?? Whether you read "Wild Fire" for the fun of it or just to find out whodunit, you are sure to enjoy the suspenseful ride plus quite a few thrills and chills along the way. This is the third John Corey book I've read, Plum Island and Lions Game being the other two. Just enjoy the plots and his banter with his wife Kate Mayfied. Also his comments and answers leave me laughing at times. Granted, I doubt his sarcastic conversations with a superior would actually happen in real life, but who knows. I'm sure a law enforcement person would pick out many flaws in the procedure, but hey, this is fiction and entertaining with enough real world thrown in.

"Wild Fire" is a chilling tale of global terrorism in the aftermath of 9/11. It is a plan to reduce the Middle East to a radioactive waste land in response to a Islamic nuclear attack on an American city. The plan would kill millions of Moslems. The fact that Wild Fire is presented in such a fashion as to appear entirely plausible is terrifying enough. This book is very fast paced with lots of twist and turns to keep you squirming! If you want gripping and heart thumping then this is the book. It's right out of the headlines.
A wide range of novels Nelson DeMille’s story of John Cory New York City detective who joined the terrorist task force keeps you on edge and amused.

A action thriller hard to put down, the action started right away and just took off. The author had a way of bring the reader right into the story with him. Outstanding book.
