I was very impressed with the rapid delivery (2 days total), the product itself has been good thus far. Offers all the features those big brands offer for a fraction of the cost! I do recommend it if you're not looking to spend a lot of money, as far as longevity, I cannot speak on that just yet, but so far, so good!

I give it two stars because the site does not allow for a 0 star rating. So everything is shifted south by one star. That is how I roll. That being said, Its a great meter. Good sized display. Leads are not silicone rubber. But they aren't the horrible ultra stiff ones. They are in between. The temp sensor seems to be off by a few degrees when compared to my thermostat, but who is lying? The orange over molding is very flexible, and I can see that ripping with rough use. I use the thing to check for continuity, low voltage 24-48V / 120v, and capacitance residential hvac work. It works great for that

1- Every scale worked great, and was accurate except temperature.. A check of the Theromcouple proved it to be good. Reserch of the circuitboard pointed me to VR5, a variable resistor... a small adjustment of VR5 now my VC99 reads temperature accurately. (after adjustment: a retest of all functions, nothing else affected (as expected)) 2. I like the features of this meter.. -the price for thedegree of accuaracy and functions / features is good. -the rubbery casing is realtivley soft but is protective, easier to remove and replace than most. -the battery compartment is easy to access, the fuses require more disassembly The temperature response of this meter is quicker than any of my multimeters (heat gun to 600 degress, then put thermocouple in the snow) One of the features I wanted was the analog bar graph.. yeah I'll admit it is gimmicky, but I'm a nerd with it. I like the built in probe holders. a) for probe storage, b) makes taking "field" measurements easy: by holdong 1 probe in the probe holder the other with an alligatoer clip or mini grabber. I can check for voltage with the other (held by the meter) probe and visually watch the display. 6000cts display is easy enough to see, and provides accurate readings. -stand is strong enough and easy to "deploy" location of stand leaves meter stable. -frequency response is stable and accurate. - the included test leads are adequate, not the worst I've had also not the higher quality I routinely use (I recommend investing some $$ in test leads you really like) 3. Less than optimum: {or why not 5 stars} -from the factory the temperature indication was 20 deg F high.. however the calibration adjustment of VR5 is simple and effective. -No backlight to the display I knew this when I bought it, but a backlit dispay is handy -this meter was originally marketed as a FLUKE replacement.. A fluke is far superior in quality, but demands >10X the investment. -access to the the fuses require more disassembly than the simple battery compartment. one of my other meters (also 6000cts) has slightly larger numbers and the contrast of the LCD is more defined than this meter.Read full review

Obviously it’s not gonna be as good as a fluke and it shows when you compare the two. It’s not as accurate and doesn’t give readings as quickly. But for the price it’s a fantastic meter. Much better than the ones you will find at a parts store. The 20a rating also is better than most other meters for measuring amperage
