What a putter!!! If you're a straight putter, then this putter is for you. I used the iPing app to find the correct putter for me. The app said i should be using an anser 5. I was using a Ping redwood 303ss, which basically is an anser 2, just milled from stainless steel. I didn't think much of it at first, until i found myself in a golf shop. I saw the Anser 5 milled, & picked it up. I proceeded to drop 3 balls down & didn't even line up the putt. What happened next was astonishing. I knocked all 3 balls into the hole. I then grabbed the 3 balls & tried from another angle. BOOM !!! All of the next 3 went in as well!!!! Mind you, im what Ping consider as a straight putter. So this was the putter for me. Obviously ! It has great feel, like all of the ping milled putters do. My first outing with it on the golf course saw the first as a single putt, the second i lipped, & then the next 8 holes i single putted them, WOW!!! It paid itself off in spades. I recommend Ping putters to anyone, they are the leaders in putters. They are also the most copied putters in the world. First find out if you have a straight, slight arc or strong arc putting style. Then choose a ping putter to suit you. Straight putters can also use the anser 2, but the anser 5 is the one if you have a straight putting style. Ping have 3 options. Straight, slight arc, & strong arc. Basically the anser 5 is for straight, anser 2 is slight arc, & anser 4 for a strong arc stroke. This anser 5 milled i scored on eBay brand new for US$151. In our shops they're approx. $350 brand new. So if you want one, well its a no brainer. Go to eBay & buy one !!!! Cheers, & happy putting. Flash Sash.Read full review
Was looking for a Putter for the more straight back stroke to replace a mallet that was too heavy. I also had an old Ping Karsten 67 that felt too light. Got fit at the PGA store and this was the one that was just right. Unfortunately they sold the last one in my length before I could buy it. Ordering would increase the cost so I turned to the internet and found this slightly used club. After some practice I have found my putting has improved and have had my best scores ever the last two times out. This has good balance with the advantage of a blade in a straight back Putter. This is a unique style of Putter that I could not find from other manufacturers. I highly recommend getting fit but think most people would do well with a Ping Putter.

I love looking over Ebay before I make a purchase to get the market value for both new and used goods. For this particular purchase, I bought a Ping Anser Putter. Ping is traditionally known as a very reliable and high quality product. What I paid for this putter was a decent price. The only thing I did not like about the purchase is that the pictures did not reflect that there was a goose neck. Had I known that this was the case, I would have passed on the purchase. It wasnt necesarily a bad buy, because I was able to get my money back.
This is the club I always wanted but could never afford!! I started playing when I was 14 years old and soon after that became aware of the brand "Ping". I was introduced some time later to the Anser series putter and always tried them out in golf shops. It is only now at the tender age of 47 have I been able to own one for myself, having always bought copies until now. The club is unique in the way it feels when you swing it, you always know where the club head is pointed and what your swing plane is, further more when you make contact with the ball the club tells you how good a contact it was and where on the club face the ball was struck. All of this leads to very useful practice sessions. On the course I find it very easy to gauge the weight of a putt with this club, it seems to "magically" hit the ball to a good length on every stroke. Overall the club gets a 10 from me, I think I have found the putter that I will keep for the rest of my golf days.Read full review
This is an excellent putter and also an underpriced golf collectible. It is not a putter that you see every day and not many golfers know about it or the prices would be much higher on eBay. Scotty Cameron modeled his highly collectible long neck putters after this one. Putter is cast in two versions from the quality metals stainless steel and beryllium copper (BeCu). Golf clubs from beryllium copper can no longer be made so it makes the putter even more unusual and collectible. The long putter neck causes the putter to be face balanced which is the trend in most modern putters in order to keep the club face square.
