Hands down I believe this is the best phone on the market for the price (although the price has gone up over the past 3 months when I bought my wife hers). One thing I particularly like is the wifi connectivity. I don't pay for data (although about to get the straight talk $45) and just use wifi wherever I go. The phone automatically connects and updates email, etc every time it finds a signal. So those hotspots that you don't even know about (as long as they're open) update your phone for you. And you'd be surprised how many people have unsecured wifi out there. The only semi-quasi-negative is that she needs to charge the phone every day. That may or may not be bad because again, she leaves wifi on 24/7, uses alarms every day, talks, texts, etc. If I had to guess I'd say that that is normal but my blackberry (with minimal if any wifi use) lasts for days without a charge. I love this phone and highly recommend. That's why I bought this second one to replace my curve. UPDATE: I am leaving my initial review so that you can compare what I initially felt and what I now feel after a year. This phone is still a dang good phone for $200. But.... $200, I would not recommend. There are too many things that it will not do. Videos and animations are difficult to get to play because people don't support WP7. Watch for that with ANY windows phone. WP8 gets support from software like Java and can play videos on youtube, etc. WP7 has problems with everything. Also, my wife's plug just wore out. After right at 1 year, it will no longer charge so we had to upgrade. I got the a new display model Lumia 820 (with WP8) for $150. That's cheap AND it looks like a much better phone. For the same price point ~$200-$250 I say go with the 820 because it appears to have the stuff that the 900 does not. But...we'll have to see how this works out after a couple months.Read full review
Initially had problems connecting to the internet coz of “network setup application not available for your phone" error went round that by updating “my market place app” then downloaded the network setup app followed by manually configuring the settings. Very fast internet. Am enjoying my experience with it. A few hidden things like how to forward sms’s etc I had to stumble across, now I have downloaded the manual to see if there any other “hidden things” . One annoying thing is I can’t use it as a hotspot coz apparently it still asks for at&t (even though it is unlocked) when I try to activate internet sharing!!!!!!
Phone works great it is a bit large so if you keep your phone in your pocket this might not work for you. os takes some getting used to but otherwise fine Has many apps for the offering even free ones and aver app price is about 1-2$ Battery life could be longer but it is ok when this device is used as phone only. When I use wifi and other apps the battery drains fairly quickly. over all decent value for the price
Is the best smartphone I've had, the screen is an excellent size, is fluid and very fast, it has everything I need and more. The best it has is the integration with social networks and the people Hub. The chat is very useful since you have facebook messages, MSN and SMS in the same place, you can start a conversation by SMS and finish with facebook chat without switching applications. Thoroughly recommend, buy it you will regret not.
The phone is very versatile and functional in business applications. Battery life is a bit short in that it has to be charged every 24 hrs. Lot's of windows apps running. Overall satisfied with the size, functionality and overall look and feel.
