Red Phone, Blue Phone, Black Phone, Grey Phone. THEY'RE IN COLOR!! A little confusing to set up, until you go to the uniden web site. Each phone is customizable and has some great features that I would like on every phone set. The sound quality is superb, for both listening and talking. My wife, two sons and I now each have a phone without everyone else's info cluttering it up. However, the Scroll/PB/CID button doesn't work on the Black Phone. Which worked out good for us as we use it for the LR phone that alot of friends and family use, and get a case of snoopy-nose with.(this has now been avoided)
We have two sets of these phones with two separate bases, they work great, never interfere with each other and are crystal clear. The batteries last forever. I have used them for over 4 hours and never yet had anything lower than a full charge show. The set-up features are nice too. I like the phone book set-up. All you need to do is set-up one handset, then transfer to all the handsets if you like or just transfer certain entries. You can do the same thing by importing entries from other handsets. There is a call transfer feature to send a call to another handset. Paging, privacy setting to keep others from listening in on your calls and so many more features. I have had many phones over the last 10 years or so and these are by far the best yet, without a doubt. I just added two additional handsets to ours. One other thing is these phones do not interfere or receive interference from my wireless networks or other wireless electronics. Finally, I can use my wireless stuff and not have all the problems I used to have.Read full review
This is the expansion unit for the Uniden DECT2060 base which I bought a few years ago, which can handle 6 expansions units. It is a bit tricky to add expansion units but if you read the manual, it is easy. What I like about this system is that you can copy phone numbers that you store in one unit's memory, to the other units. Unfortunately you have to copy to one unit at a time. You cannot copy to all units in one step. It is bit strange at how it handles syncing issues but it seems to work out. So you can enter a new entry in any of the phones and copy it to the other phones (or not). I think I would prefer a centralized phone book that all the satellites can access, but this system works out well enough, and is better than other systems where each phone has its own closed phone book. I also like the easy-to-see bright orange display screen.Read full review
I had to buy this phone in order to have at least one extension (out of 6) that has a headset jack and belt clip. In Unidens' newer model DECT 6.0 phones (mine is the DECT 2188), they left out features that some of us need. I actively work around the house and need the mobility that headsets provide. This extension phone, DCX200, is the only compatible add-on model offering the headset jack and belt clip. This phone is a little larger than the original extensions, but the functionality justifies it. The DECT 2188 is a great phone system otherwise.
I bought this handset to add to an existing phone system I purchased a few years ago. Likes about it : I has speaker phone, lightweight, easy to see display for caller id, one base setup and easy to add new handsets, speakerphone works pretty well. Dislikes: Handset will occasionally just drop a call and say "out of range", when returning a call from caller id you have to write it down and add the "1" to out of area calls. Batteries are not common to get at all and don't last very long, Range is shorter than I'd expect.
