The author is excellent with breaking down information about how the body works. The summary reviews are amazing because it highlights what is important and helps me to understand and apply concepts.

This book is not so good, it has very small print so there tons of material on one page. Then the way it is written you have to be very familiar with the material beforehand to make sense of what is being said. It doesnt take the time to go over the terms. I find myself using the back of the book trying to look up different terms and half of the time they are not there. This book frustrates me.
this book was the worst. I'm going for a nursing license not a physician license. I read what they have to know but yet the doctors get more money. This book would have been great to warm up a house if you threw it in the fireplace. The author spent too much time explaining information in too much detail. And you still didn't understand what was going on. I learned by rereading my anatomy book and other review books. Waste of money!
I purchased the book for a pathophysiology class and thought that the book was wonderful. It explained the important key concepts and in addition, the chapter summaries were excellent. The book was an easy read.
If you don't have time to read the big book, this is a must to have. It highlights the most important topics and has a review section for you to answer. However, it is not as detailed as the regular book and you may not find all the answers to the test questions for your exams. I bought it because I do not have time to read the regular book and it is much easier to carry around.
