Tony Mann worked with the mentally ill as a nurse's aid in the early 1980s for almost three years with the South Carolina Department of Mental Health and then went to the University of South Carolina School of Music and studied classical guitar and composition. He went back to the University of South Carolina to study nursing and received his Bachelor of Science in nursing in December of 1995. He received his Masters of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University in the Fall of 1998 and returned to South Carolina Department of Mental Health as a provider where he worked for the next decade. He now works for a hospital owned Primary Care Practice. This is his first book. He enjoys playing ball with his son, white water kayaking, songwriting and recording and playing guitar. He currently lives outside of Columbia SC.
