I'm very happy with this cable. It's well constructed. It's less bulky than the original coiled cable and no-name PS/2 to USB adapter I was using previously. It's also more reliable. It has not dropped any keystrokes in several months of use, an issue that I experienced regularly with the other adapter. I have two nitpicks. 1. Sometimes, pressing keys does not wake my MacBook Pro from sleep. 2. I preferred the rollover behavior with the other adapter. Specifically, I got one more key of rollover and more predictable output before. For example, with this cable if I hold down the keys "asdfjkl;" on the keyboard, it prints "asdfj" and then on release, it prints "dfjs;". With the old adapter, it prints "asdfjk" when held, then ";" when released. For my use, the increased reliability more than makes up for these minor shortcomings. I would recommend this cable to anyone with a Model M.Read full review

These cables are fantastic and hope they stay available in the future. They are well worth the cost with the convenience of USB and are very well made. The quality could easily pass as OEM. I may purchase more in the future just to hoard these in case they ever become unavailable!

I plugged in the cable to the keyboard and into my computer - working keyboard! Now I can use my very solid 1987 IBM Model M keyboard on any of my computers that use USB for keyboard connections. Thank you so much for that cable!

Replaced the original 5-pin DIN connector (and two adapters) with this, and the transition was flawless. My 30-year-old Model M is working as well as it ever did, and is as responsive as I would expect if it were plugged directly into a standard serial connector.
