  • excellent super strong steppers for that heavy smaller machine. please read entire review if you should have an issue.

strong as heck. i paired the wires to test holding strength and its more than i could twist. excellent quality. as a note: one motor was wired backwards. the x/y pins were reversed and would not correct through flipping the axis in a grbl setting. i would have where i could press X+ 10 times and 5 out of those 10 times the motor would go to X- so i did research and saw a post the socket needed to be flipped. so being that i have a directional socket i took breakout board wires plugged them into the socket of the motor plug and then flipped it so pins 1234 were now 4321 and boom machine working perfectly. but i stand by these motors. they dont eat current they say 2.1 amp and it runs just fine on a 1.6 amp controller board and is still strong as can be. in addition these motors are much ...

  • Good Stepper well constructed.

I recently placed my second order for another of these Steppers. Works great. I use it for winding inductors and use I Arduino with a Stepper driver to drive it. Although you can run it at 12 volts, I run it at 6 volts because it runs much cooler and even at 6 volts, the torque is still very strong. Don't forget to get the Stepper motor mount to hold the Stepper in place.

  • NEMA 17

I'm using this with an Arduino Uno to control a large variable capacitor for impedance matching with a magnetic loop antenna. I needed this large torque stepper because of the "stiffness" and size (increased power rating) of the capacitor. The motor fits a standard NEMA 17 mounting bracket and has enough torque to turn the capacitor. The micro stepping by the controller driver allows me to adjust the motor's movement of less than one degree with good accuracy. While I haven't finishing constructing the antenna, I'm sure this motor is up to the needs of the design.

  • Great deal. Powerful motor.

I use it to run a rotary axis with a 16 tooth on motor and 100 tooth pulley on rotary axis on my router. Works well cutting wood and plastic up to 3 1/2" dia.

  • Excellent stepper motor

It works very quiet, precise and after 8 hours of work it stays cool.
