I bought this book for my son, who will be leaving for boot camp this summer. I thought I'd just take a quick glance and ended up pretty much going through the entire book. I just can't tell you the value I saw in this book; everything from how to prepare to go, not just physical training, but mental. Also such things like items to bring, not bring, the strategy from the time you arrive and throughout. What to expect and what not to expect. Extremely helpful info. on basics of routine, down to eating and what to expect there. Then you get down to the educational aspects to each certain branch of the military. All I can say if you are going into the military or are a loved one of someone who is and want a better understand of what will take place, you need this book. By the way, my son agreed. If you choose to serve our country, thank you. -BetsyRead full review
being in the air force this will again help me with establishing a common ground while working with and supervising other members in my flight who have crossed over from the army! plus, my 15 year old son is focussed on joining the army! he knows about the "blue" but when you get that goal written in your head theres no stopping!
This book was purchased for my daughter, as a companion book to The Ultimate Basic Training Guidebook. Highly suggested for any new recruit, before their experience at Basic Training.
