"Surf, sand and secrets" is book number 24 of the "Two of a kind " series. It is also the second book in a special two part series. The first being " Island girls ". Also, the book is one of their " Diaries " books which means that it is written in the girls diary extracts format. This format is actually quite good and is easy to read. It gives a decent look into the girls emotions in their day to day life and times, trials and tribulations. So to the story. The girls are on a school holiday vacation in Hawaii with several of their other White oak girls school friends and Harrington boys school friends. The Author, Nancy Butcher, does a good job of setting the Resort scene, and it is easy to mellow into the holiday lifestyle feeling as you read. Of coarse there is plenty of unfolding dramas that the girls find themselves in. There is quite an element of suspense in this read and you will find it hard to guess the outcomes till you read the whole story. Mary-kate and Ashley usually come out winners but not always. I have read the whole 40 issues of this series and I rate this one in the top 5 because I always found myself reading another chapter or so before putting it down. I purchased this book on e-bay for $ 1.50 and certainly got great value for money from it. The cover photo of the girls is gorgeous as usual. Thanks for reading, supraman90.Read full review
