Ok, I had been looking at these for a while, ever since I saw them at Walmart. I wanted something that would let me enjoy my Xbox 360 in the early morning hours, when everyone was asleep, but also I wanted to hear the game, hear the chat, and be able to participate in chat also. The sound is awesome, full 3D stereo. I can adjust the game and chat volume independently. So if there are a bunch of little kids chatting on World of Tanks, I simply lower or cut off the chat volume. It makes blocking the kids unnecessary...sometimes. I mean, you usually do end up blocking the kids in favor of teenagers... Anyways, I play right up next to the screen on my desktop (I share the monitor with my xbox and PC.). but the cord is plenty long enough to go back a ways. The only thing I would have liked would to have seen in the product was perhaps an extra chat cable, and a longer one at that. The reason, for me, is that accidents are meant to happen, and the Turtle Beach BRANDED chat cables are the only ones that will "click in" securely. A regular 2.5mm will be loose so it falls out. and the Turtle Beach BRANDED chat cables are not cheap...about $10.00. There is only one long cable, so you don't get into a whole mess. Be sure to check the details and/or description when you buy these used. I've brought one before this one, and unfortunately the sound cable was cut in two when I received them. Not a terribly hard fix, but had to open the volume control and solder the wire to the circuit board.Read full review

The headphones look nice and come with everything the original new ones do and everything does work. The only problem I have is that the left side is quieter than the right side. This really gets to you after a couple hours of play and I hadn't been able to find a way to fix the problem. Maybe I got a bad pair? I would buy again but only to see if I could get a pair that actually has both sides the same volume. For the price though, if you've never had gaming headphone before you can't really beat these refurbished turtle beaches.

So far so good. I bought these for my almost 19-year-old son who goes through headsets like there is no tomorrow. So, I figured I would give these a try. He even went through the wireless Xbox brand name ear piece. No idea how that happens, but I am not a gamer. I do, however, work on a computer all day long with a headset also, and I go through them as well. Not quite as often though. My daughter has a more expensive pair of Turtle Beaches, so it will be interesting to see which holds out longer (I'm hoping both do). He says these are "hella better" than the wireless ear piece if this helps. I'm not up to his lingo, but that is what he says. Hope this helps.
Please don't buy this product. Not only is it mis leading but it only is built to last about 50 days or two months. The XL control you see in the middle doesn't look like that at all and it breaks down so you pretty much have a crappy pair of headphones. The sound level is very awful and doesn't go above a whisper. I wish I would have spent double or triple the amount on a headphone that works. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I live in Baton Rouge and had 2 feet of water in my house for three days. These headphones were in a bottom drawer so they got WET. I squeezed out the foam and let them dry in the sun for a while. I disinfected, then enjoyed my favorite movie. This Turtle did not mine water. So far so good.
