Great optic. I bought this particular ACOG for several reasons. The first being this is the ACOG that special forces use. The second reason is that this is one of the few ACOG's that is night vision compatible. The third reason is that it provides back up iron sights mounted on top of the unit. The Fourth reason is just personal preference being that the crosshairs are etched into the glass without a green/red/yellow illuminated center reticule. Most people prefer an illuminated reticule, for me it was distracting so my options were either the TA01 or this ACOG (TA01-NSN). I do plan on getting a red dot and will be mounting it at the 1 o'clock position next to this ACOG for CQB. This optic was designed for the M4/AR-15 and it will complete your rifle. It has bullet drop compensation out to 600 meters and I cant say enough good things about it. The only bad thing I can say is that the yellow illumination at night is kind of difficult to see. It's not the ACOG's fault because I am somewhat physically retarded being that I am near sighted in one eye and far sighted in the other. With that being said, with my birth control glasses on, the illuminated crosshairs are easy to identify.Read full review
This product has clear glass and a bright lamp for night time use. ACOG is four power, and there is no fiber optic with this product, which make it perfect for use as a DMR rifle. It cost, but you'll like it once it's mounted on top of your platform.
