For starters, I think the price was very competitive in comparison to other sellers and other brands. The delivery was amazingly fast it took only two weeks to arrive (I live in a country in south america and any previous item I bought on ebay either didn't arrive or took more than a month and a half to arrive). The truck is just amazing, it has a respectable amount of speed (considering it is brushed) and there is room for speed increase since the motor runs rather cool. The durability is certainly incredible, I ran it through really rough terrain, more than once I crashed it really bad, and no piece has broken so far(though you may want to install a front bumper to be safe). In addition the availability of parts makes this truck really a good option, specially for beginners in the hobby-grade RC world. With respect to the charger, It is certainly not a wall charger and you would need an adapter, however if we compare it with other brands ready-to-run truck's chargers it is much more faster (it takes around an hour for a full charge). Thus be sure to order the AC adapter for this charger, or like my case, adapt a power source to the charger(I adapted an old PC power source. I only soldered a 2$ car lighter connector to the source and works perfect. But you can use any other 12 VDC power source that gives more than 4 amps of current). All in all a great truck for the price.Read full review

Arrived with blown fuse in charger (no big deal). After 10 minutes of running read diff stripped. Now needs replacing and to be upgraded. Steering is quick and responsive but not much weight in the front for turning during acceleration. Fun car I'd buy it again but I recommend buying upgrades for the rear differential.

Remote control cars have been around for quite sometime. As a youthful girl I played with many R/C cars, When I was fourteen years old, my father bought me a Traxxas Rustler Electric R/C car. I have never had so much FUN with a remote control! I especially loved when my car would break, because taking it apart to find out what broke and to find what needs to be replaced brought hours of fun to the table!! Going to the hobby shop for parts to upgrade your R/C is really fulfilling! As most Rustler owners do, when one part would break on my R/C I would always upgrade for better use. This Car is great in the winter for drifting and slippery speed. This car can handle really any season. It is not good on grass though, for top speed and drift action....the pavement would be the best option! Some people would look at that as a dislike of this product, but the speed more than makes up for that fact! Due to the speed of this car, hitting objects at full speed will damage your car, but this is the fun in the whole experience! This product does not compare to any other R/C out there. It is worth the money and is perfect for really any age group. The Traxxas franchise is highly recommended for its speedy action and its outstanding car forms. If you are someone who likes remote control cars and has never really found a car that last for more than 6 months, you will never be disappointed with Traxxas Rustler, it will cost some paper, but it will be priceless with the many years of fun that this car will give you in return!Read full review
Runs AWESOME. Looks sharp. Kids and adults could enjoy it out of the box. The Rustler rips it up in grass, dirt, rough pavement. Great balance and control. The charger provided is lame. It requires plug-in to a car accessory socket and be left outside of the car. So the ignition switch has to be turned on to the accessory position with the wire hanging out of the vehicle. You are not supposed to charge while driving. This seems a clear ploy to get you to buy the much more convenient A/C powered charger for $50. During the first week of use the Rustler caught a wheel on a immovable object and suffered a broken suspension strut. This is apparently a common accident and just as common needed repair. Traxxas offers an aluminum replacement for added structural integrity. Why not start there? And while we are at it, how about including the optional bumper (to avoid the damage in the first place)? Geez, it is a little plastic frame. Put it in the box. Did I mention that it is a hoot to operate? Despite the niggling, annoying, cheapskate omissions this is REALLY fun.Read full review

The car is a good size and to see it at 30+ mph is impressive. There is maintance involved; motor break in period, cleaning (motor and general), batteries are costly. I would highly recoment bumper and weelie bar. BUT the car will break..good thing parts are easy to obtain and cheap. Working on the car is not easy, but manageable for an adult with some mechanical aptitude. Clear Bodys are fun to paint and the Rustler body is interchangable with other TRAXXAS models, stampede, bandit, most 1/10 scale. TRAXXAS support is great! the guys are nice, patient, ready to help with anything. BOTTOM LINE: This is a great car!!
