Bought this as an alternative to the cheap chinese units and the overpriced more popular ones. Having a background in car audio helped the install but even without it you should be fine as it is only takes a few minutes to remove your radio to access the wire harnesses you need. Read the directions carefully to set it up, as i skipped that part thinking it was just plug and play and then wondered why it wouldn't recognize my aux input. It only takes a minute but you do have to 'program' the existing radio to recognize the new input. Once done, the trickiest part was finding a good place to 'hide' the unit. I opted to store it behind the factory radio, however, i had to temporarily remove the controls above the radio to squeeze it into the space that was there. It fits fine but you need to position it first and then replace the controls and then the radio again. I used an 1/8" stereo to male rca adapter [not included but available almost anywhere] connecting the male rcas into the unit and running the other end which has the male 1/8" [headphone jack] end out into the glove compartment. From there i have it coming into my cupholder where i can easily plug it into any phone or ipod's headphone jack. After installed, i noticed sometimes if you leave it in the aux mode when turning off the car, when restarting you may get a 'tuner error' message which is easily fixed by pressing the disc button again to cycle thru cd and then back to aux. Sound quality is as clear as it should be, so overall i would recommend this over the similar 'cheap' units.Read full review

Installed in my 2006 LX470 with separately purchased iPhone-to-RCA adapter. Now I can listen to music, YouTube, internet radio and Waze through the Lexus stereo system. Awesome!
