If your looking for a Great soundbar look no further..its an older model not sure why Toshiba chose to discontinue the item..I have had nothing but good things to say about it...well maybe one. sounds great on any of the sound settings ARC Works as it should as well as the Optical connection which this unit had 2 of one major issue if you use Bluetooth the signal is not very strong I find myself setting my phone right next to the unit..just to keep a consistent uninterrupted audio experience

The Toshiba sound bar is rather unusual considering the number of inputs and ways to utilize its features. I is more like a receiver. Pros: Support for CEC (Remote control) and ARC (Audio return channel) via the 2 HDMI inputs allows the remote for the TV to control the sound bar. Turning on the system requires activating any source, like turning on a BD Player that will activate the entire system and select the correct input. Turning off the system via the TV's remote shuts everything else off. These features only work with peripherals that also support CEC and ARC and must be used with HDMI Version 1.4 cables. This leaves 1 or more HDMI ports open for other peripherals on your TV, even though you may not have the same features as the sound bar (more later). The open HDMI port(s) on your TV can still use the sound bar via digital optical or analog input from the TVs output. There is no auto switching in this arrangement so keep your remotes handy. I mainly watch movies and TV shows and find the sound quality is very good and intelligibility is excellent. I'm not a big fan of simulated surround sound so I will leave this for you to decide. Also, I have not tried the Bluetooth input feature of this unit. However, I may point out that the subwoofer is Bluetooth and I have had no problem moving it around. Cons: Getting used to (initially getting to work) CEC and ARC is a pain. You need to sort through the setup screens for your TV and be sure these features are turned on. You must also be sure you are using HDMI Version 1.4 cables (1.3 cables will not work). If you have existing HDMI cables they are not marked as to the version. So you may want to buy new cables to avoid this. I still have an issue with my computer feeding the sound bar via HDMI and have ordered an new cable. It should turn on the whole system when powered and when shutting off the TV it should shut down the sound bar (which it does) and release the connection to the computer. At the moment it is convoluted and just weird. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't. Conclusion: Considering the number of inputs, features and the quality of the sound I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend this product.Read full review
I bought them for my son and son-in-law and they both loved them. I researched sound bars and believe this one gave the most bang for the buck. After setting it up and listening, I believe they are a great deal. Don't expect the sound of a movie theater or a 5 speaker system but it gets close.
