I purchased this book for a men's group at my church. I found the book both challenging and encouraging. Essentially, the book encourages Christians to get outside their church walls and meet the needs of people living in their cities/communities. All to often, Christians in America are more concerned with building their individual churches rather than meeting the needs of those outside the church walls. This tends to isolate us and prevent us from touching people in our communities with the love that Jesus Christ has for them. Many people question if Christians really care about them, even if they don't get converted (immediately). The authors encourage believers to both meet the needs of their communities and to speak the truth as to why they are ministering to the needs of others. The book is filled with practical advise about how to successfully reach our communities for Christ.Read full review
