The seller that I bought this club from was a great person to exchange a bit of info with. I bought this 690mb (no dot) 2 iron to go with my 710mb set, since the 710 and 712 are only made as a 2i CB. I had the shaft changed to standard length, because the factory standard 690mb (no dot) is ¼” shorter than the modern standard length. I agree with the seller's opinion that the 690mb and 695mb have a "very similar” feel. I would not pass up an opportunity to swing the 690mb if you have a repeatable swing and are ready to move to a club that gives you improved feedback. I am not going to label these clubs as, “for low handicap golfers only,” since lower scoring is very connected to a golfer's short game and putting skills.
very awesome looking iron, thin top line and sole... when you hit this iron on the "screws" or sweet spot its a awesome feeling.. when you miss , you will feel it.. but the MB iron is a awesome looking iron

I had a set of 690mb irons missing the 9 iron. This one was just a little more used than mine and filled the set nicely. The price was not great but I have only seen one other since I bought this one and it was much worse. Overall a pretty good deal.
When a hybrid doesn't cut it you can feel like a star with a hit off the 690.MB 2 iron. Never a disappointment with the sweet whack of a titleist two.
i love the look of it, a great club .I needed this club so i now have a full set of these fantastic clubs .
