This book is fantastic! I highly recommend it to all Titanic lovers. The story is well told and dramatic, there are scores of gorgeous, full-color paintings by Ken Marschall that seem to leap off the pages, photographs from the period, pictures of paraphernalia and artifacts, and little sections concerning details like the dogs of the Titanic, the children on it, etc. The binding and pages are sturdy and the book comes in a handsome,full-color, (though slightly thin) dust jacket. This book is completely comprehensive, the story beginning with the original idea for the ship and ending with its discovery in 1985 by Robert Ballard. The story focuses especially on such areas as the passengers, the design of the ship (with a fabulous fold-out diagram),and the personalities and lives of the crew members. Five Stars!Read full review
