The trigger assembly on my 243 Cal. 700 was not on the recall, it had the grooved trigger. However the gun still would go off (no bullets in the chamber) every 3 or 5th time I closed the bolt with the saftey off. In all honesty the gun had been sitting for some 20 years. but even after an extensive cleaning, it still was a safety hazard. I didn't want to spend the $100 plus dollars for something that should have worked, well forever. Reluctantly I went for the stainless model and installed it myself. Wow, what a difference! With no tuning the trigger is perfect. better than any rifle I have ever owned, including my match 22 This may be my favorite rifle- just love the crisp no creep trigger pull.

The trigger was very easy to install by putting the rifle upside down in a vice with barrel jaw adapters and following the included directions. It breaks like a glass rod and is heads and shoulders above the recalled trigger it replaced. I did not have to adjust the bolt release lever, but YMMV. Not an issue with the Timney trigger, but the factory trigger has a sear safety cam release and spring that will fall out when removing it. You may want to place a catch pan under the work area if you don't want to go hunting for the parts as they drop out.

Great product. Mounted it on a Remington 700 SPS 6.5 Creedmoor. Didn't have to modify the trigger guard, it was a direct fit. Easy to adjust and has a light smooth "no travel" trigger pull.

first rifle trigger swap-out took a few minutes to figure out, about 30-40 minutes to complete. I was totally over thinking what was really three or four simple steps. Second rifle trigger swap-out was done in 15 minutes. if i had a third rifle to do, it would take longer to get it out of the stock than to complete the swap. Lightened trigger pull to two and one half pounds, left sear and over travel adjustments as set by timney !!!! take your time, don't over think what needs to be done. Have the proper tools needed, watch a few good youtube videos to understand. Realized this is not rocket science. Threw both remington triggers in scrap metal can.

I purchased this as a replacement for a recalled trigger. It came with a 3.5 lb pull that is very consistent. Once I got the correct size punches, the installation was very easy. Thank you Timney triggers!
