As an avid HipHop/R&B listener and fan, Timbo's Shock Value is going to come as subjective. The single, THE WAY I ARE is awesome...I praise his success on transferring from HipHop to the House/Trans genre...however, that's ME! If you are more of a "music/beats/production" individual, you'll love the CD, but it's Timbaland, what else would you expect. It's a "feel good" CD, "listen while you work/drive CD", it does its job in that respect (if you feel like dancing a little, it serves as that sometimes also). However, if you're a lyrical enthusiast, this might not be your cup of tea, coffee, kool-aid, whatever. You may not enjoy it too much (maybe one or two, if that, but not too many more). So, stated before...your final decision on this CD is going to be up to what attracts you to music....beats or lyrical content. RandomStarMusic www.RandomStarMusic.comRead full review
I was really disappointed with this CD. I think only average at best. However, this CD has one of the best singles of the year. The song is titled "Give It To Me" featuring Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberfake. I love the krazy beats on that song. Justin Timberfake makes other cameos on this CD as well. 50 Cent and Tony Yayo have a song on this CD called "Come and Get Me". Another so-so song on the CD is "Bounce" featuring Dr. Dre, Missy Elliot & Justin Timberfake. "2 Man Show" featuring Elton John tops off the only good songs on this CD. If this was a movie I'd recommend renting this one.
I fell in love with Timbaland's music the first time I heard him with the Pussycat Dolls. He mixes powerhouse sounds with house rhythms and gives you something to move to. The best tracks, in my book, are "Throw It On Me" (w/The Hives); "One and Only" (w/Fall Out Boy) and "Give It To Me" (w/Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake). Now, we are all adults, so don't be shocked to hear some of the lyrics on this cd. Timbaland is no angel...grin. This is the only thing that I could think of that would make some weaker ears cringe. Get this album fast...and let your ears and heart be happy!
Very good quality seems to be just like brand new cd

Coming from a 36 year old woman who's entire expereince of hiphop and rap was my younger brothers ravings, this album is quite interesting. His song with Elton John is amazing - who would think that piano would sound good as a backdrop to hiphop? And the opening song is amazing - I was hooked at that point. a couple songs I found not to be the greatest, but on the whol,e the album is definately worth having and listening too.
