Gives a thorough run-down of each chapter. I definitely had to refer to the textbook quite a bit because my professor did not explain some things in class. So the text is written very well, and it gives a chapter summary at the end of each chapter with important equations, laws, etc. The one thing that this book lacks is explaining how to use the property tables efficiently. My professor was able to teach us in class, which is important because you need to know how to use the tables in order to work through most of the homework problems. Also, I wish there were more example problems throughout the chapters, because some of the homework problems get to be quite difficult and there are no examples that even relate. Other than those two issues, this book is a good book for thermodynamics, especially for a summer course that took only six weeks long (we covered the first seven chapters).Read full review

I bought this product because I'm studying for engineer. This book covers a WIDE area of the subject and has ALOT of challenges to exercise on. I believe it has around 1800-2000+ challenges/tasks. Also alot of examples to help understanding thermodynamics, which can be kind of hard at the beginning. I do miss a solution manual but at the price of the book its ok :-)
I needed this book as fast as possible and used the "buy it now" in order to achieve this. However, despite the listing saying there were ten books in stock at the time of purchase, I was notified four days later that they were out of stock. I was given a full refund, but time was lost and now I am/will be behind in class by the time my next order comes...from a different company.
