This is the second in the series and an excellent read even for an adult. It is written for a middle school reader and uses language heard on television but perhaps no understood. In this context it is easy to learn new vocabulary. I bought this book for my grandson but being a John Grisham fan I wanted to read it, too. I am on my fourth book in the series and I hope there will be more.
Love John Grisham books. Picked up the first Theodore Boone book not realizing it was a "kid's book". Read it while taking a 3 hour medical test. Great way to pass the time. Knew at the end there would be more books coming. Ordered this one next and just a good. Great characters and he fleshes them out more in each book. Keeps you turning the page and you do not want to put it down until you are done. Just like all his books it is interesting, good plot and a winner. I am an adult and it is light reading for me but I am going to order the whole series and see what happens to Theodore and how he figures out his next adventure. My granddaughter is going to be old enough to enjoy these soon and I will pass them along to her and then her brother when he is old enough to enjoy them.

Love everything ever written by John Grisham, including these stories for the younger set. I've read the other two volumes on Theodore Boone, somehow missed the middle story. Grisham is easy to follow, creates interesting characters, and truly draws you into the story. In this case you feel like a schoolkid in an adult world. Love the story; the only reason I gave it a 4 is that I haven't finished reading it yet!
Pleasantly surprised by Grisham's YA books.
