SUSAN HOWATCH knows how to tell a story! In this trilogy, she moves from the theology of her last series (The Starbridge Series of 5 novels) into the realm of spirituality. Not that these books are stuffy religious tomes, not in any sense! They are stories of (seemingly) very real people attempting to live a good spiritual life while grappling with the everyday world. I've already read this trilogy, but bought another copy so I could enjoy it again. I passed my previous books on to a friend who also enjoys novels with some substance to them; novels which keep you turning the page when you should be putting out the light. These novels can't be compared to other novels because they touch on such an unusual topic, our spirituality and how we use it or let it die. I guarantee a serious reader will not be disappointed. The trilogy consists of The Wonder Worker, The HIgh Flyer and The Heartbreaker, in that order. I envy the first time reader who gets to discover these books, but they hold up upon rereading.... and rereading.Read full review
