Elvis was a small truck driver in his teen years. But, he wanted to make a recording for his Mother who was ill! So, he dropped in on Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee and made it immortal! There he met Sam Phillips an independent Producer and asked if he could make a recording? What happened then was magical! You can still hear the Reverb on these recordings and a very young Elvis' voice. GREAT Stuff and without a doubt my favorite Elvis record. Check it out if you can? Tim M. Otto

This is the sun masters CD. I got this item because Elvis actually plays guitar on it. This is sadly rare. Listening to the songs one wonders what could have been had he been allowed to play his own music. And gee, don't that sound familiar? Didn't Kirshner do that to the Monkees? Hmmmm. Anyhow, it is great to hear Elvis sing and play and the outtakes and alternate takes combine to make this an exciting album; an asset to any music collector's vaults.
This it Elvis at the beginning, raw and coming out of nowhere to start a revolution. Love these early recordings, no one made an impact like this man did with this music.
