This movie shows how teenage angst can be taken too far. The characters have some stereotypical qualities: there's the man-hating slut, the artsy girl and the good girl. Each role is played convincingly and, while the characters may start out in one role, they end up somewhere completely different. Though there are coming-of-age elements to be found, some lessons can't be learned, and there are deeper levels of meaning than just the surface plot about girls getting even with the guys who wronged them. All in all, an excellent, if very dark, movie.
I truthfully only bought this movie for the Thora Birch scenes and even those are pretty goofy. This movie is really really bad.
