My friend recommended this book to me, and I thought it sounded like just the thing for me, since I had always wondered how to deal with the seemingly contradictory aspects of my skin. My face continued to be acne-prone even as it became drier and was beginning to show fine lines. And some of the blemish treatments were so hard on my skin. So I bought this book, answered Dr. Baumann's diagnostic questions in the first chapter, and found that my skin is OSNW: oily, sensitive, nNon-pigmented, and wWrinkled. There are 15 other types, and Dr. Baumann provides very specific treatment recommendations for each. What she has to say about my type makes so much sense! Now I'm using some of the products she recommends and am very happy with the outcome.

This book is very helpful for figuring out your skin type and how to care for it properly. It lists a range of different products at different prices to help you choose the right things. It also gives you ingredients to make sure are in your products and which to avoid, if you want to just go shopping with any brand. It includes a regimen with how to care for your face once you have the proper cleanser, moisturizer, treatments, etc.
I wanted to buy it because I am in the cosmetic direct selling business & feel it would be beneficial for my continuing business. Will probably use it as a good reference to come back to. It is not directly related to my product line, but will be helpful.
This is a great book. If you want to use the correct skin care products you need to know the type of skin you have and what it will tolerate. This is a great book to get you on that path.
