I saw this movie when it first came out, then recently watched it again on DVD. It's one of those movies that has levels you don't see the first time around. Until you know the ending a lot of things will go unnoticed during the first viewing, particularly in regards to Gena Rowlands character, Violet. The soundtrack is very good and also well worth owning, if for no other reason, for the awesome reworking of Johnny Farmer's (the blues musician who'd rather be known as a bulldozer driver) song, Death Letter, and Robert Johnson's Come On In My Kitchen. As if all of this weren't enough, Catherine Yronwode who, in my opinion, is THE authority on hoodoo/rootwork magic, served as consultant. If you have more than a passing interest in folk magic, and enjoy movies that are more suspense than gore, this movie is worth owning, and definitely worth watching more than once.Read full review
A great thriller to add to your collection of DVD's. Very happy with Seller, and excited to be able to have it my collection and now able to watch it when convenient and on my time.

Great Movie, it keeps you engaged and on the edge of your seat throughout. Lots of twists and turns throughout. I don’t like horror films so don’t think this is like that. It’s just suspenseful. You’ll pick up something new each time you watch it.
