I read this book in a day since it was so interesting and a true eye opener on the creator of the Sistine Chapel paintings, Michaelangelo. The authors weave a blend of sleuth work and history to make a strong case for the secret meanings behind Michaelangelo's paintings on the walls of the Sistine Chapel in the 16th Century. While I think some of their points are a bit far fetched (like the outlines of Hebrew letters in the gaps and spaces of certain illustrations), I do think the authors make a great case for Michaelangelo's belief in the universality of man and their rights to worship God each in his/her own way. The book surely filled a gap in my knowledge of those wicked times when christianity was just about to come out the Dark Ages, but not just yet since the heads of the Catholic Church were steeped in all kinds of immorality. I highly recommend this book to al lovers of truth, justice and history, religious ot otherwise.Read full review

Very intricate study of assumed 'hidden meanings' in Michelangelo's great paintings--not always convincing, but quite thought-provoking. Recommended!
