The destiny of the kingdom rests in the players' hands. Will players build up their kingdom through internal expansion, or perhaps look for a more imperial type of domination, expanding their rule by conquering territories? Will they take on quests in pursuit of fame, or focus on the health and wellbeing of their people? The choice is theirs! With the start of every new game, players will be able to select a new ambition for their kingdom, and embark on a new set of stories.
Everything in The Sims Medieval is crafted to create an immersive medieval world, from the quest-based gameplay, to the medieval objects such as swords and stocks and thrones, right down to the warm look of the characters, and the painterly approach to the world itself. Players can choose to customize every new Hero that comes to the kingdom, including selecting their traits and their fatal flaw. Players get close to their characters, not only sending them on epic quests, but also making sure they carry out their daily responsibilities such as healing the sick, trading for exotic goods, or forging armor. From having a baby to competing in a royal tournament, what happens to their Sims is up to the player. The time of romance and chivalry is back with The Sims Medieval.
A new way to play the sims. Sims Medieval brings a whole new playing style to the gamer while still keeping some of the core values that we hold so dear to in sims 1-3. The game at first may give the gamer a little shock if he/she hasnt read anything on the game it self, but over time it becomes easy to master. The over all game play is extrealy easy. Some people have complanied about this... but when has the Sims ever been a difficult game? It is meant to be a game to sit back, relax, and be the puppet master of other peolpe since we are too lazy to live our own lives ous selves. But overall I am sure the game will become even better as the release DLC and users create custom content for the game. When the Sims 3 first came out I recall may people whining about how much the missed there Sims 2 perks... but afte ambitions and the other expanstions I havent heard a peep. would I suggest paying full market price for this game? Maybe not, I manage to find it half off on ebay one week after it hit the selves, so keep your eyes peeled, I do suggest any long term Sims fan give it a try.Read full review

This was bought for my grandaughter who is a Sims fanatic. Therfore, I'm letting her give the review. Well, its really fun because you get to make royals and villagers, and you lead their lives. There were a few kinks, but I looked them up online and fixed them.
The exciting part of this game is that you get the sense that you're working towards an end. With the many quests and the possibility for the Sims to be killed on them is pretty cool.
