Best Weight Loss Diet Book that I have ever read. I am buying several to give to my friends. It is not just the weight loss, but also the health and cancer fighting foods that I find exciting. I am only about a third into the book so far. My biggest complaint of dietary claims today is the abuse of the word "antioxidant". Perricone reminds us that foods lose their antioxidant qualities quickly.
A blend of dietary ideas and information about foods that is guaranteed to make the average life better . Not all foods are created equal and some are better than others . Already knew that ? Then read this book and get some better yet . Backed by dozens of studies by hundreds of Medical Proffesionals , this book can put you back in the Command Chair feeling . techtech10
Highly technical and very enlightening book, which is simple to follow. Compared to other fad diet and lifestyle books, I believe this could be a life changing plan to improve the quality of life. I purchased the book after watching an "info-mercial" on TV. I love the principle of anti-inflammatory guidelines. It seems believable.
I recently borrowed this book from the library after seeing Dr Perricone on PBS. He had made sense to me with his eating suggestions and I decided to check it out. It has changed my life so much that I decided to purchase the book through eBay---partially because of the great diet advice and partially because of the recipes that I plan to start using daily. The explanations that he gives involving the importance of fatty acids, proteins, carbohydrates, etc has been particularly helpful to me in my pursuit of gaining more energy and wellness...and losing weight as well. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who has had weight, health, energy or depression issues!
I've seen Dr. Perricone on PBS before and was intrigued with his theories. The beginning of the book is interesting along with the listing of supplements he recommends for weight loss. I’m BIG into exercise and don’t really get the weight loss I expect from it. Later in the book comes the recipe section. It contains a lot of very unpractical food I’m sure is expensive. How much salmon can you eat? Makes me long for a burger. The last ¼ of the book is just references. I got a lot less out of this book than I expected. Its still not a bad read especially if you can get it used.
