I bought this book because I was familiar with Pam Anderson's previous cookbooks. She is extremely thorough in her descriptions of procedures and her recipes are reliable--IE: they turn out and they taste good! Personally, I am tired of weight loss recipes that have little flavor, things my family won't eat. I thought I could count on Pam for more, and this book is a winner! Everything I've tried so far has been excellent. I particulary love her endless suggestions for variations. The possibilities to 'change up' your omelet, salad or pizza just go on and on. It is also inspiring to hear how a real person, and one that loves to eat at that, managed to lose weight and keep it off, all while keeping her sanity. Kudos to Pam. I read about this book in the Sunday USA Weekend paper and was compelled to buy it. The article I read about Pam and her struggles with weight loss seemed to mirror my life. This is a great book and cook book. She give some great suggestions based on what worked and didn't work for her. It isn't a lose weight quick scheme or a "diet" - it is about changing your lifestyle to make yourself healthier. The result of a healthier lifestyle (increased activity/exercise and better diet) will be a toned body and weight loss. I highly recommend this book if you are ready to quit failing on those so called "diets" and get serious about getting healthy.
Pam Anderson writes Great Cookbooks! Simple and easy to follow instructions that are delicious and healthy too. I love the fact that she includes the basic recipe for everything from pancakes, cookie dough, flat-bread dough for pizza, soups, salads, or quiche and then you are able to change it up with different food additions of your choice. Also included are light recipes for pasta like alfredo or red sauce and mini-prep desserts. I own several other cookbooks by her so this was a perfect addition. Highly Recommended!
I really like Pam Anderson Cook books. Pam Anderson does a tremendous amount of research, her recipes are written well and are easy to follow. This not a strict diet book. But a cook book written by a real cook and her food taste good. I believe if you incorporate these recipes and are careful with your portion size and are active, you will lose wheight.
I bought this book because I need to make a lifestyle change. I like the way this book is written. She writes in everyday terms that are easy to understand. I am terrible about making a lifestyle change but this book has made me really want to try. It would be so easy to follow and the recipes look like something I would like to cook and eat.
