for the volume of the book it gives alot of information about the little known system of accupuncture that is actually the antecedant the chinese ,this has been proven by both the indian and chinese governments.it shows important things like the fact that a ectomorph,a mesomorph .and a endomorph must not be needled the same or for the same amount of time the chinese system does not take this into practice, but it is a sound scientific principle the if the humors are not taken into consideration the treatment cannot be as effective.it is the same with chinese and indian martial arts ,the chinese were not given the complete system.
This is the missing link between TCM and Ayurveda as we know it. Being a doctor of Oriental Medicine, I have a good understanding of acupuncture theory from a Chineses perspective. For years I wondered why a system as profound as Ayurveda didn't seem to know anything about meridians, five elements and so on. This book reveals the history & theories of the ayurvedic science of acupuncture. There are differences between the two, but much of it is similar. It is a fascinating and valuable book.
