It really inspires the daily woman that you do NOT need to buy the latest fashions but buy staples in your wardrobe. It doesn't matter how cheap your clothes are but how you CARE for them. I mean..if I were to buy a very very expensive Dior couture dress and run a marathon in it, and jump rope then roll in the grass and swim in the pool and then climb a tree and go climb mt. everest, I will very much ruin the gown. Investing in clothes is one thing but if you don't care for the clothing, there's no point; unless you have lots of money lying around. This book taught me SO many lessons just through one chapter. It has a lot to offer. He's not telling you to buy EVERY SINGLE staple he lists in that book but rather what is age appropriate, what are classics to keep and invest in, and simple things.
