Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the film is an 89 minute, 1999 color thriller about revenge. A father, Wilson (great British actor, Terence Stamp), is a British ex-convict just arriving in the US, at Los Angeles. The reason he's left the UK for the US is to investigate what the police investigation determined was the accidental death of he beloved daughter. Wilson's not buying the police department's account. There are too many mysterious pieces about her untimely death left unanswered. Wilson has a prime person of interest with whom to catch up: Terry Valentine (Peter Fonda). Valentine's a wealthy music promoter who's heavily guarded for some suspicious reason. This makes him no easy target for Wilson. As Wilson's search for the truth becomes more determined, it intensifies into actions bordering on brute force. The ex-convict's mind has closed down up on his target like a trap door.
