In Dallas, Texas, the family man Ben Garvey is on probation but he is a hard worker of the Fort Garry Brewery Company and lives a simple life with his beloved wife Lisa and their daughter Katie. When his probation period finishes, Ben's brother Rick visits him after being released from prison and invites Ben to heist 12 kg of gold in dust from a laboratory. Ben refuses the invitation but he is fired from his job because of his record; he decides to join Ricky and his partner Phelps in the robbery. However things go wrong and Ricky, Phelps and a security guard die in the heist and Ben is sentenced to death for the murders. After his execution through lethal injection, Ben awakes working as housekeeper of the Monte Angel community in Dundee, Oregon, for Father Ezra, who explains to him that his past life is gone and now he is having a second chance. However he should never cross the boundaries of the location, otherwise he would die. Ben feels confused with the weird situation but he can not forget Lisa and Katie and forces Ezra to give a plausible explanation to him. But while working in the garden, Ben finds a frisby on the grass; he investigates and discloses the secret of the facility. A psychological thriller that will make you think from the the beginning to the end. Although a bit slow in the first parts to the middle, thats why its a psychological thriller, the climax to the end compensated for it. The lines are well delivered, a good script, good acting all in all, a good movie.Read full review

It's alot boring..This movie is so slow paced I felt myself nodding off and I rarely ever do that! Film starts out pretty good..Hubby and Wife celebrate his release from Parole..the next day his Manager deals him a viscious blow when the higher ups discover his criminal past and he's fired..this happens the day after his Brother also freshly released from prison tries to talk him into pulling another job..left with nowhere else to turn or so he thinks..(hey, why not look for another job and be honest about your criminal past this time?)..He agrees to the robbery only to discover his Brother has brought someone along..he says no, but his brother admits his life is in danger he owes alot of money! Angrily he agrees to the job (but no weapons no one is to get hurt) only to be dealt a serious blow has everything goes wrong..now in prison for three capital murders this con faces death himself..as strangers enter his life it's turned upside down..all he wants is his old life back..he's told lie after lie so he believes..can he find the truth? Will it get him killed? who knows and who cares..this movie suffers greatly until the last 30 mins then it begins to pick up speed, but by then it's way too late..the ending though a happy one is corny and imho a cop out by the writer and the director..great acting though all around..I give this film 2 out of 5 bars!Read full review
This is not a horror movie or a shoot-em-up action adventure. It's more of a mystery. After dying by lethal injection, Ben (Paul Walker) wakes up as the groundskeeper of a psychiatric asylum. He, and the audience, are presented with several possibilities. Is Ben dead (and, if so, is he in Heaven, Hell, or Purgatory)? Has Ben been physically restored to life (and, if so, is it divine intervention or a government conspiracy)? Is Ben a mental patient who has hallucinated his supposed former life with his wife and daughter? Or is he still in prison and is this all a dream? The plot could have gone in any of these directions, which kept me watching. Paul Walker and his wife Lisa (Piper Perabo) succeeded in making me care about characters who could have come across as unlikable (after all, Ben DID make some criminal choices and Lisa chose to marry him). Speaking of poor choices, when Ben found out what was going on, I understood why he was angry but I still think he should have been grateful rather than grabbing an axe and...but see for yourself. His action accomplished his goal, but then the movie ended and I wondered if Ben's long-term situation would be worse. What's going to happen to him tomorrow?Read full review
Good but different movie. Especially for the actor Paul Walker. Keeps you guessing. I recommend the movie.
