After becoming engaged, I registered at theknot.com, to help manage my upcoming nuptials. I have been very pleased with the services provided on their website, and chose to look further into a couple of their book titles, to help prepare me for my big day. I came across this guide, and decided to give it a shot; I am so glad that I did! This guide is extremely helpful and cost efficient, and includes everything from tips on how to make your day run smoothly, to checklists, to ensure that you don't forget any important detail. The book is thorough and includes several chapters to help organize your thoughts and the details of your big day. This guide is exactly what I was looking for -- I don't think any bride, particularly a bride on a budget, should be without this book!
I bought this book as I am getting married in almost 7 months! I found it to be quite helpful. There is a place for you to write down your budget to make sure you stay on track with your purchases and I especially like that it includes important questions to ask different vendors and after each vendor category section, there is a sport to keep their business cards handy. I would recommend this book for brides who need help staying organized with their wedding plans.
Not as elegant as Martha, but completely practical. Martha's planner has pockets, and this one does not. Great check-off lists that really get you on track with your wedding. Not to big or little to carry around with your easily in case you need to plan your wedding on the run. After looking at a lot of planners, this is the one I am chosing to use, but only since I am also using the Vows and Traditions book, and the Real Weddings book.
Book was a described many helpful hins suggestions and guide lines

This book as been the backbone of planning this wedding. It provided guidance and advice that I never would have thought of until it was too late. It has saved me tons of time and cost. The checklists are very detailed and help assure my mind that I'm not missing anything. The etiquette advice has helped to insure that I don't do anything that will offend anyone. (Bad habit of mine). You can't go wrong.....even if you are an organized person, you'll see things you may have missed and be grateful you have this as your backup.
