I like the old testament because the name of God, Yahweh, is used. The quality of the print is good, it's not to small, about a size 8 font, I have to wear reading glasses for everything anyway, so I just pick a higher magnification and it's very legible but obviously the publisher didn't to make the print perfect, it's maybe a copy of the text from a full size Jerusalem bible It has a sewn spine so it lays flat which is a big deal to me. There is about an average amount of "bleed through" between pages

This Bible is easy to read, both in content and font. It is more understandable than other translations. From what I understand, this is the Bible type that Mother Angelica of EWTN used herself. If it is good enough for Mother Angelica, it is most certainly good enough for me!

Great book, cover was detached from book upon arrival, not large print as suggested, no columns as in regular bibles so it is a bigger book if you are looking for it to fit in a case. Would I buy it again, yes, but not for the purpose intended.

I'm very happy with it, been wanting one for a long time.

I can sit for hours reading this Bible; the translation is beautiful, direct, and illuminating. All the books of the ancient canon are here, and there are intelligent footnotes (e.g., who knows that El Shaddai--usually construed as "Almighty God"--probably meant "Mountain God" in ancient times). Also, there are introductions to each section of the Bible, which help to put the various books in historical perspective. I would recommend this English version of the Bible to Christians of all denominations.
